San Francisco Deputy Public Defender Linda Colfax has spent the last 12 years representing clients accused of everything from sexual crimes and burglaries to assault with a deadly weapon. Now the out lesbian lawyer is ready to tackle the legal system from a different perspective.

She is running to become a judge on the San Francisco County Superior Court on the June 2010 ballot. So far she is the sole female candidate among a field of four male opponents – three of them out gay men – who also are eyeing a run for the bench. Read more »

Colfax for Judge 2010 Kick-off Event

Linda Colfax for Judge needs your volunteer efforts collecting signatures to get Linda’s name on the June 8th, 2010 ballot.

  • We need to collect over 3,000 signatures so please bring friends and family
  • We will have two volunteer shifts from 10:30-1:30 and 1:30-4:30
  • We will meet at the ACLU office and head out to high traffic areas
  • Bagels and Coffee will be provided
